General terms and conditions of rental

The rental equipment is carefully maintained by Ott + Wyss and checked before being handed over. Upon collection, the customer confirms the perfect condition of the rental equipment with his signature after his own inspection.

In the event of a defect that is not discovered upon collection, the customer shall contact Ott + Wyss immediately so that the damage can be registered and, if possible, a replacement device can be provided. Ott + Wyss accepts no liability for any consequential costs caused by a possible defect in the rental equipment.
The costs for consumables (such as halogen and modelling lamps, colour filters, etc.) shall be borne by Ott + Wyss. The customer undertakes to handle the material with care and to return the material in perfect condition and complete. Damage caused during the hire period will be charged to the user (normal wear and tear excluded).

The rental equipment is insured by an all-risk insurance policy for the hirer in the event of damage. The deductible is CHF 500.00 per loss event and rental item affected. The insurance premium is included in the rental price. The insurance cover begins with the handover to the post office or with the personal handover to the renter and ends with the receipt of the items in the rental warehouse in Zofingen.
Excluded are the risks of war or warlike events, nuclear energy events, confiscation and seizure by the authorities, the effects of weather, wilful or malicious damage, loss, abandonment, soiling and damage due to improper handling.
In the event of theft, the incident must be reported immediately and a police report drawn up. In the case of other damage, such as accidental dropping, accidents, etc., a brief written report is sufficient.

The minimum rental period is one day and begins on the day following dispatch by Ott + Wyss. The goods must be returned on the last day of hire. In the event of delay, the hirer will be charged the price of the additional hire period. The date of the postmark shall apply. The maximum hire period is 28 days. The rental period is determined at the beginning of the rental period.

The rental prices include 8.1% VAT. Competent advice and good service are included in the prices.

Ideally, the rental goods should be collected from Ott + Wyss in Zofingen and returned in person. Alternatively, the goods can be sent by post. Dispatch shipping is by PostPac Priority Signature and is invoiced to the customer.

The rental service is only available in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein.

The place of fulfilment and jurisdiction for both parties is Zofingen, AG.
