Which lens mounts are available?
The complete lens rental range is available for Canon-AF and Nikon-AF mounts for D-SLR cameras. We also offer the entire range of lenses for Sony-E and L-Mount. If you are interested in other mounts, such as Nikon-Z or Canon-R, please contact us:rent@owy.ch
When will the rental item arrive?
The PostPac Priority Signature shipment is dispatched the day before your rental and, according to Swiss Post, should arrive the following day (the day the rental starts) in 98% of cases.
Can I also collect the rental object?
Yes, you have the option of collecting the items from us in Zofingen and returning them at the end of the hire period; this eliminates the postage costs.
What are the minimum and maximum rental periods?
The minimum hire period is one day. The maximum rental period is 28 days.
When do I have to send back / return the hire item?
The parcel will be returned to us by you at the end of the rental period; in the case of a 7-day rental, on the last day of the rental period at the latest, i.e. on the 7th day after receipt of the rental goods.
What happens if I return the rented item too late?
If you are late, you will be charged the price for the additional time.
Please bear in mind that your new tenant will also want to have the rented property at the desired time.
What must be considered when returning by post?
You must organise the return by post yourself. The postage costs shown in the shopping basket are exclusively for the dispatch shipment and will be charged together with the rental amount.
What does shipping to and from the customer cost?
Depending on the weight and value of the goods, shipping costs between CHF 15.00 and CHF 25.00 per parcel.
What should I do if the rental object is damaged/lost?
Please contact us immediately. In the event of theft, please also report it to the police (police report).
Are the rental objects insured?
Yes, the objects are insured in Switzerland and abroad. There is a deductible of CHF 500.00 per claim. The material is carefully checked by us on arrival and departure. Only flawless goods will be dispatched or, in exceptional cases, a defect will be pointed out (which does not impair the function!). If damage is found during the subsequent inspection after the hire period, you will be charged for this.
What payment options are available?
We offer the following payment options: On site: Cash, Maestrocard, Postcard, or: Prepayment
How many properties can I rent at the same time?
There is no limit to the number of rental properties, but we reserve the right to carry out a credit check.
Do I have to clean the object before I return it?
No, the item will be professionally cleaned and checked by our technician after it has been returned.
Can I also buy the rental lens?
The rental lenses are regularly replaced by newer models and offered for sale at a reduced price. You will find corresponding offers on this website.
What happens if I decide to buy after renting?
If you decide to buy the respective product after the rental period, the rental amount already paid will be credited in full towards the purchase price of a new lens.
